Course Description


This 6-month course is designed to equip participants with advanced motion graphics skills, blending traditional animation techniques with cutting-edge AI tools. Participants will learn how to create dynamic, engaging visuals for ads, explainer videos, social media content, and more, while leveraging AI to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance creativity. By the end of the course, students will be able to produce professional-grade motion graphics efficiently and creatively, preparing them for careers in advertising, marketing, film, and digital media.

Weeks 1–8 - Foundations of Motion Graphics & Introduction to AI Tools

Objective

Motion graphics are essential for creating visually engaging content in ads, explainer videos, and branded materials. This module lays the groundwork by teaching foundational animation principles while introducing AI tools that streamline repetitive tasks and enhance creativity

What You Will Learn

  • Understand key principles of motion design (timing, spacing, hierarchy).
  • Explore AI-driven tools like Canva AI, DeepMotion, and Runway ML
  1. Basics of Motion Graphics:
    • Understanding keyframes, easing, and transitions.
    • Traditional vs. AI-assisted workflows.
  2. AI-Powered Animation Tools:
    • Automating text animations with Canva AI.
    • Using AI to generate motion paths and presets.
  3. Introduction to AI Tools:
    • Hands-on tutorials with Adobe After Effects plugins, Blender AI, and Runway ML.

  • Generate photorealistic textures and lighting with NVIDIA GANs 
  • Apply AI-driven asset creation for explainer videos and ads.

    • Automating transitions and effects using DeepMotion.
    • Generating motion paths with AI assistance.
  2. Dynamic Asset Creation with AI:
    • Tools like Runway ML for generating photorealistic textures.
    • Enhancing low-quality assets with AI upscaling (e.g., Topaz Gigapixel AI).
  3. AI-Driven Lighting & Textures:
    • Using NVIDIA GANs to create realistic lighting and reflections.
    • Applying AI-generated textures to 3D models.

  • Design an explainer video with AI-assisted motion paths and transitions.
  • Optimize a mock ad campaign with AI-generated assets.
  • Create a short motion graphics clip showcasing dynamic lighting and textures.

Weeks 17–24 - Advanced AI Integration & Capstone Project

Objective

The final module synthesizes all previous lessons into a cohesive workflow. Participants will tackle real-world challenges while producing a professional-grade motion graphics project that showcases their technical and creative abilities.

  2. Ethical Considerations in AI Usage:
    • Addressing biases in AI-generated content.
    • Balancing automation with artistic intent.
  3. Capstone Project:
    • A complete motion graphics project from concept to delivery.

Key Activities

  • Collaborate in groups to simulate real-world team dynamics.
  • Optimize the final output for multiple platforms (e.g., TikTok, YouTube).
  • Present the capstone project with a detailed breakdown of AI usage.

By the end of the course, you will:
